Agent protocol
Any LLM agent can consume MDDock projects without authentication. Three primitives: a stable md:// URI, plain HTTP raw endpoints, and an optional MCP server for write actions.
md:// URI scheme
Stable, human-readable identifier for any public project.
Resolvers (the MDDock CLI and MCP server) translate these into HTTP fetches against this host.
Raw HTTP endpoints (no auth)
- β’Primary file as text/markdown
- β’Any file inside the project
- β’Version-locked variant
- β’Whole project as a zip
- β’Discovery manifest
All raw responses set Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * and a X-MDDock-Version header so Agents can verify what they got.
Vibe-coding handshake
The minimum useful prompt for any agent:
That is the entire protocol for read-only consumption. No SDK, no auth, no schema parsing required.
Discovery
Hit /.well-known/mddock.json to learn this host's endpoints, URI scheme, and CLI hints. The response is a stable JSON shape (versioned by version: 1).
Write actions: use MCP
Anything mutating (remember, propose) goes through the MDDock MCP server. See /docs/mcp.
